Rechargeable Repairs

If you fail to respect and maintain your home, ensuring it is kept to a clean and acceptable standard, you may be required to pay additional charges, particularly for the repair of any damage you have caused, or for neglect which results in remedial work being needed. 

This may include: 

  • Property damage or any act of vandalism (i.e., broken windows).

  • The repeated replacement of keys/locks.

  • A cleaning fee if your tenancy is terminated and you leave it in an unacceptable condition.

With your Housing Officer’s support and guidance, you may be able to set up a repayment plan and they can connect you with the right people and organisations that can provide debt advice and budgeting help, including CAB and Step Change. Our dedicated Housing Officers are always available to provide the help you need and can be contacted by telephone or email.
